"Why is ___ so hard?"

#textsessions life approach mindset Sep 01, 2022
My life can be Challenging yes, hard…not so much anymore. Even what I thought was so hard in the moment, Is not as hard as I thought it was when looking back.

We've all been at a place in life where the thought or expression of "why is this so hard?"  expressed a struggle that can feel powerless.

How often do we repeat to ourselves and others "how hard" something is?

While texting out an approach to hard things, my client asked me how I handled all my hard things.

I asked her what she thought I did was hard to quicken the process and also curious what she considered hard.

“Build a mountain homestay

Including infrastructure

Take care of both your parents

Do deep diving on people’s lives and biz — remember it all

Down to details and data

Not even a broad idea.

Data points. Analytics.”

How funny that these are my most enjoyable activities.

Definitely had a deep moment of gratitude there.

It's always interesting to hear how others think of what you do lol

My life can be Challenging yes, hard…not so much lately.

Even what I thought was so hard in the moment,

Is not as hard as I thought it was when looking back.

Sometimes we can mistake some challenges we have decided to take on as hardship.

Sometimes we reinforce and amplify the difficulty of a task or challenge which can lead to  an inability or procrastination to taking action or having follow through.

I signed up for my challenges a while ago

I’ve learned to embrace them and be grateful for them.

It was a waste of energy to play that mental battle

for a challenge I knew I wanted or had accepted.

In other words, I’m a lot more straightforward and honest with myself.

Accepting that my life, everyone’s life, is met with challenges.

If we acknowledge what comes with the growth that we sign up for

then we release ourselves of some surprise and overwhelm.

This means we can learn how to reduce mental pressure and stress,

which makes emotional and energy management much easier.

The better we manage our energy,

the better we can handle the true hardships when they occur.
