An Approach to Patience

Continued from this post.

So I share a story about some construction that needed solved but there was no clarity around. No decision that was landed on correctly (for me — we all have our own process) and so I waited.

I waited and then the problem actually solved itself with time.

A solution landed in my lap. *Success feels*

In the past, I would have put myself through a lot of worry and rash decision making due to the discomfort.

“You can say time or patience right?” She asks in reference to the subject of not allowing her overthinking and emotions to pull her into erratic decision making.

My response:

I don’t have to use patience much

Probably because my perspective

releases a lot of expectation

Patience is needed when there is a pressure

I release the pressure and so

I really have a full cup

Of patience when needed.

Client: You didn’t even need to utilise a morsel of patience. Won.

Me: Yes. I got to enjoy life instead lol

(the story and solution came about while enjoying some mountain time)

I proceeded to explain that if I was busy forcing a solution (which doesn’t usually work well for me) I wouldn’t have had the time and space to have some fun and come across the solution that landed in my lap with no effort.

I would have been busy pushing a solution and settling for something instead of allowing a

win-win collaboration to enter my life as a fantastic solution. Maybe even upset I “had to work so hard for it” and upset that “I had to settle for this”.

The point isn’t to neglect problems.

The point is to learn how you best function

How your aura works for you

How your knowledge and strengths work for you.

Then learn to trust it.

I love opportunities that allow me to build that trust with self,

to live more as myself.
